after swearing off cebu pacific, here comes another adventure with another budget airline -- tiger airways...
going to phuket in a month and with so many of us traveling, thai airways at almost $690 per passenger is a out of the question. so far, all of my dealings with tiger has been good -- excellent, actually -- very efficient call-center, very knowledgeable staff. i was worried at first because i was trying to book online but my credit card was getting declined (charging in USD) -- so i opted to book over the phone even if it was a bit more expensive (a bit lang naman, pwede ng palusutin). i thought it was one of those gimmicks just to make you spend more but they explained naman well why it happened (something to do with US-issued credit card being used sa Singapore based site charging USD). So ok naman. Got my confirmation in 10 minutes via email. And the fare! Came out to $310 per person (excluding baggage charge which would come out to USD 8/ 15 kilos). Pwede na. and when there's a lot of you traveling, nagaadd up ang savings!
now the thing is, i don't personally know anyone who's traveled with tiger. sure, there are blogs and reviews -- but syempre, i want to hear sa kakilala. oh well, let's see what happens. tiger's partially owned by SIA so i hope that kind of excellent service would somehow show sa tiger. unlike cebu pacific na i super HATE.
it's actually better to fly to bangkok with cebu pacific then take a connecting flight to phuket using a domestic airline, because you leave from manila and the fare is comparable to tiger's BUT it's cebu pacific and how i super hate that airline, that company, and everything else cebu pacific. HATE CEBU PACIFIC!!!! super! o diba, RAGE na naman... haaay... kasi e, di ko pa nakukuha refund magiisang taon na (EXAG!). i wonder kanino pwede magcomplain about this...
